How your new appointment will be different.
Safety is the new luxury.
Dear Gilbert DuPont Salon Guests,
We want to share with you some of the adjustments that we have had to make to our salon operations.
This is out of an abundance of caution for our team, our guests and our community. We have made many
internal changes to our salon procedures, but we wanted to share the ones that will affect you at
the time of your visit.
A COVID-19 questionnaire and waiver is required for each client. Please complete and submit this form within 24 hours of your appointment. We are unable to see clients unless this form is received. There is a link to our jotform on your confirmation email and or txt. This needs to be done for every appointment until it is no longer required by any state or federal agency.
Please come alone to your appointment and on time, late guests may not be taken due to time limitations. We can not accommodate extra family members, children or friends. If they come with you, they will need to wait outside.
We are so excited to welcome you back into our salon. We want to hug you so badly, but for now, we will put our hand on our heart to represent our love for you, and a slight bow out of respect for you and to let you know how grateful we are for you.
All guests will be required to wear a mask that hooks behind the ears (all staff members will be required to wear masks as well). We will do our best to apply your hair color without getting it on your mask. It would be best to use a disposable mask if you are concerned with hair color stains. If you do not have a disposal mask, you can get a disposal one from us, but supplies will be limited.
When you arrive to the salon, please wait outside or in your car; we will text or call you to come in. This will eliminate extra people in the salon at one time and allow us to clean the styling stations.
When you come in, we ask that you use hand sanitizer or wash your hands in the restroom. We will need to take your body temperature upon entering the salon with a touchless thermometer. Once temperature and had washing are done you will go right to the styling chair with the stylist.
Please bring minimal items with you, just your phone, small wallet, and keys.
We will NOT be having you change into color robes. Please wear an older T-shirt or something that has a lower neckline. We will be using styling capes as usual (which are always washed in between uses).
Guests will be seated at every other station and over 6 feet apart in the salon with plexiglass in-between each station.
We will not be offering hand and scalp massages or makeup applications for the time being and our magazines have been removed for safety.
We will not be offering beverages at this time, please bring your own water with you.
Please arrive to your appointment with your hair clean and damp for hair cuts.
Haircut-only appointments will be performed without pre-cut shampoo and if you are having color service, please have your hair clean and dry.
Blow dry styling will not be offered at this time. Until it is proven to be safe to use blow dryers we are offering a deep conditioning mask you can rinse out at home (a $25.00 value).
Please know how very important providing excellent service is to us. These new measures we are taking are temporary until we can get back to the high standards that you've come to expect from us. We hope that will be sooner than later!
24 hour minimum notice is required for any appointment changes. We will be charging 50% of your booked services if we do not received proper notice. For anyone not showing up for their booked services we will be charging 100% of your booked services. With our time limits, this is necessary for us to enforce.
We sincerely appreciate your support. This situation has certainly brought on some challenges, but we are determined to rise to the occasion with a positive attitude and high level of professionalism. As these circumstances are ever changing, they will require our constant attention and reevaluation. We ask that you please be patient with us as we make the necessary adjustments.
We will be calling our pre-booked clients who had appointments back from March 17th and then anyone currently on our books or waitlist. We will then offer new clients appointment times once we have provided appointment times to our current and loyal clientele.
Lastly, due to the shut down, PPE supplies, less clients (longer appointment times), and double bookings no longer being allowed, we have had to raise our prices to meet all of these financial demands.
We have done extensive research within the Bay Area and feel that these are comparable prices for the relaunch of our new and improved Gilbert DuPont Salon.
We thank you for your continued loyalty and cannot wait to see you!
